Summer Review - Kibble Fostering

Summer Review

This summer, our children and young people had an action-packed break, filled with memorable adventures thanks to the dedicated support of Kibble’s Child & Youth Workers.

While taking some time away from their foster families, they enjoyed a range of exciting activities that offered both fun and growth.

Their adventures included residential trips to the scenic log cabins at Drimsynie, camping under the stars in Glencoe, and thrill-filled days at Landmark Adventure Park, Blair Drummond Safari Park, and Flamingoland.

They also unleashed their adventurous spirit with quad biking, mountain biking, and go-karting. Cultural outings included visits to the Edinburgh Fringe, Edinburgh Zoo, and the Five Sisters Zoo.

The children also sharpened their problem-solving skills at Escape Rooms and had a blast at our Olympics Day too.

We closed off all this action with an end-of-summer BBQ at Abbeyfield. This gave the kids, foster carers, and staff a chance to get together to chat, relax and have fun!

These experiences highlight the comprehensive support Kibble Fostering provides to our Foster Carers. We ensure that children have access to enriching opportunities while also giving foster families some well-deserved respite.

It’s through this level of care and commitment that we help foster children build happy, healthy lives.

The fact that Kibble Fostering provide such support is one of the many reasons that the Care Inspectorate rated us ‘Excellent’ on their recent inspection!
