A Summer of Fun, Adventure and Making Memories at Kibble Fostering!
22 August 2026
Summer at Kibble Fostering has been filled with adventure, creativity and new experiences.
Throughout the holidays, children and young people supported by Kibble Fostering enjoyed a varied programme of activities, from outdoor adventures and day trips to arts and crafts, baking and reading. There was something for everyone, offering opportunities to try new things, build friendships and enjoy the summer break.
Adventures and Exploring
For those who enjoy getting out and about, there were plenty of opportunities to explore and experience something different.
Day trips provided exciting adventures, while paddleboarding sessions gave children and young people the chance to get active, enjoy the water and perhaps discover a new favourite activity.
Time spent outdoors offered opportunities to appreciate the natural surroundings, enjoy fresh air and make lasting memories together. A fishing trip provided the chance to slow down, connect with nature and spend time together outdoors.
There were also some fantastic animal encounters, with visits to wildlife attractions providing opportunities to get up close to a range of amazing animals.
Keeping Active and Having Fun
Summer is always a great opportunity to get moving, and our sports days brought plenty of energy, enthusiasm and friendly competition.
Whether taking part in team games, trying a new sport or simply enjoying being outdoors, the focus was on participation, enjoyment and spending time together.
When the weather was less favourable, there was still plenty to enjoy, with indoor play activities providing the perfect opportunity to stay active and have fun with friends.
Getting Creative
Not every summer adventure needs to take place outdoors.
Creative activity days gave children and young people the opportunity to explore different interests, express themselves and enjoy making something unique. These sessions encouraged imagination while providing plenty of enjoyment and shared experiences.
We also enjoyed a special wizard-themed day, filled with magical activities and lots of imaginative fun.
Baking, Books and Everything in Between
There was also time for some quieter activities throughout the summer holidays.
Baking sessions provided an opportunity to learn new skills, get creative in the kitchen and enjoy the results afterwards.
Book sessions offered a chance to relax, enjoy stories and spend quality time together in a calm and welcoming environment.
Making Memories Together
At Kibble Fostering, we recognise the importance of creating opportunities for children and young people to enjoy new experiences, discover interests, spend time with others and have fun.
The summer programme provided a wide range of activities that encouraged participation, exploration and enjoyment while helping to create positive memories of the holidays.
A huge thank you goes to everyone who helped make this summer programme possible and, most importantly, to all the children and young people who brought their enthusiasm, energy and imagination to every activity.
